Hi I'm Lauren.
Champion of the creative free-spirit.
As an Art Teacher, and Graphic Designer of 10 years, I know how challenging life can be when your creativity is low.
Over the years, teaching my students new skills has been one thing, but witnessing their free spirits flourish and make an immense difference to their self-expression, has been gold!
There's never any โrightโ or โwrongโ way of creating in my art room, only ever that of the individual student. Spontaneity and eagerness to try new avenues are the order of the day.
This playful rhetoric makes everyone feel relaxed and uninhibited, and the artwork that emerges as a result is awe-inspiring.
I would love to help you unlock your creative potential, build your confidence, and equip you with the skills to create your own art in a way that feels easy and fun.
My son was 4 months old when I took back my crayons.
Although I loved my little boy dearly, I longed for something just for me.
'Bring your son to playgroup', a friend said eagerly. You'll meet other mumsโฆand there's a creative corner - where we make things with our children.โ
I'm not sure who enjoyed the creation time more: my son or I.
To be able to press pause on the demands and monotony of day-to-day life and weave the threads of my creative magic again, through this simple act of art making was pure gold.
It was a beautiful space to quiet the mind. A time away from obligations and responsibilities. To connect with others. There was even a little feeling of personal achievement looking at what had been created!
And so I began prioritising my creative me-time daily.
That was 2 decades ago, but over the years, nurturing my creative spirit in this way has become a sacred act.

No matter your stage of life, whether a new mum, newly retired, or in between, this class is for you.

And as your art teacher, I will open the doors for you to explore different art materials and techniques to come out with something uniquely you.
